What is Automatic Signature Verification?
Automatic signature verification refers to process of verifying a person after verifying handwritten signature from handwritten document. The process is language independent. The police gets hold of some disputed handwritten document with questioned signature on it. If
they suspect some person, he/she is called to give sample signatures.

  1. Signature verification involves pre-processing which includes operations like cropping, trimming, erasing, resizing, rotating, conversion tools.

  2. It provides all types of filters for pre-processing of signature including spatial filters, enhancement operators, transform
    domain filters using FFT, DCT, wavelet transform and morphological operators.

  3. It has manual mode signature verification involving directional features, closed loops detection, histogram analysis and pressure points detection using ink intensity and pen pressure too, with a facility for report generation. The user can inspect 5 train signatures and a test signature or 2 signatures simultaneously.

  4. It also has automatic signature verification mode. This carries out simple and skilled forgery tests automatically using histogram analysis and wavelet analysis respectively.

  5. It has a facility to annotate the signatures done on a paper, export all of them in a folder and sort number of signatures.

  6. Document analysis involves size measurement of capital and small hand written letters and its ratio, the direction of the overall writing to find if the energy is more in horizontal, vertical or diagonal direction.

  7. Document analysis also involves writer verification which analyzes the written documents by suspected person as control documents and compares it with question document to find the probability that both are by same writer.

  8. Any script for hand writing is supported. The system supports all formats for signature images and all image extensions.

  9. It has a facility to automatically divert all control signature folders to a database folder after proper segregation as male and female. This database created can be directly used for signature identification.

  10. Facility to run on the device as a complete
    offline solution.
